Key Search Parameters for Quick Patient Lookup 

MocDoc's Find Patient feature allows users to search for patient records using three core parameters: Patient Name, Patient ID, and Mobile Number. Each of these search options offers flexibility and speed, tailored to different use cases within healthcare environments.

1. Search by Mobile Number or Patient ID

Whether a patient registered a decade ago or just a few months ago, the MocDoc system ensures that patient records are always accessible. By searching with the Patient ID or Mobile Number, the system retrieves matching patient records from the entire database, regardless of when the patient was registered. This ensures that healthcare providers can quickly access the correct record without needing to manually sort through irrelevant data.

2. Search by Patient Name

Searching by Patient Name brings up matching records from the last year, making it an efficient option for finding recent patient details. Given that patient names might not be as unique as other identifiers, this option filters results to the most recent 12 months, providing relevant results in a quick and manageable list. If the exact patient record is not displayed, the Load More button becomes available, offering an option to expand the search to another year. By continuing to click on Load More, users can navigate through patient records in incremental yearly segments, ensuring that all relevant records are found.

3. Additional Search Criteria

Apart from the basic search parameters, MocDoc's Find Patient feature also allows users to refine their search by adding Date of Birth, Credit Provider Name, Area, PIN Code, or Patient Address. This added flexibility ensures that, even in cases of multiple patients with similar names or contact details, users can narrow down the search results effectively. Like the other search options, searching by these parameters will initially retrieve records from the last year. If no matches are found, clicking the Load More button will allow users to extend the search back by another year, and this process can continue until the required records are identified.

How the Load More Button Works 

A key feature of the Find Patient functionality is the Load More button. This feature ensures that healthcare providers can continue their search over extended time periods. Here’s how it works:

  • Initial Search: When a search is conducted using the patient name, mobile number, or ID, MocDoc displays records for the last year.
  • Load More: If the desired patient record isn’t found, users can simply click the Load More button, which reloads the search results for the next year.
  • Repeat: By clicking the Load More button again, the database is expanded for another year, allowing users to explore further back into patient records until the correct match is found.
This dynamic, incremental search feature is especially useful in busy healthcare environments, where time is of the essence. With just a click, users can retrieve older records, ensuring no patient detail is left behind.
