Smarter Operations. Greater Control. Better Visibility.

Q3 2026 focused on making everyday hospital operations more flexible, transparent, and efficient through smarter workflows, stronger billing controls, improved clinical documentation, and better inventory visibility.

This quarter brings enhancements across Billing & Financial Workflows, Pharmacy & Inventory, Clinical Documentation, Laboratory Operations, Inpatient Management, Procurement, Reporting, and Patient Care workflows.

From more flexible discount and tax configuration to smarter pharmacy workflows, enhanced stock visibility, improved clinical documentation, and better operational reporting, each enhancement is designed to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and give healthcare teams greater control over their daily operations.

Here's a look at what's new in MocDoc Q3 2026.

🧾 Billing, Financial & Revenue Workflows

Q3 introduces several enhancements focused on improving billing flexibility, financial visibility, and control across hospital workflows.

Centralized Discount Control Across Billing

The Discount Category Master has now been extended beyond OP Billing to IP Billing and Pharmacy Billing, allowing hospitals to apply centrally configured discount policies across multiple billing workflows.

For OP and IP Billing, discount categories can support:

  • Total Discount Percentage
  • Total Discount Amount
  • Item/Service-Level Discount
Pharmacy Billing supports total discount percentage and amount configurations.

Once a category is selected, the configured discount is automatically applied while keeping the discount values controlled and non-editable for the billing user.

Service-Wise Tax Configuration for Room Charges

Hospitals can now configure taxation individually for services within a Room Charge category.

For example, Room Charges, Nursing Charges, and Consultant Charges can each have their own tax configuration instead of sharing a common tax configuration.

This provides greater flexibility when managing complex room billing structures.

Better Billing & Collection Visibility

Several enhancements improve financial visibility across billing and collection workflows, including:

  • Round Off Value in Sale Billwise and Sale Return Billwise reports
  • Combined Sales / Sale Return reporting
  • Amount Received visibility in the Discharge List
  • IP Bill Number and additional billing details directly in the Discharge List
  • Improved consolidated OP bill printing
  • Payment Details in consolidated OP bills
These improvements make it easier to understand transactions, track payments, and reconcile collections.

Key Benefits

  • Better billing control
  • More consistent discount management
  • Greater taxation flexibility
  • Improved payment visibility
  • Easier reconciliation
  • Reduced manual effort

💊 Pharmacy, Procurement & Inventory

Q3 brings several practical enhancements to pharmacy and inventory workflows, helping healthcare organizations maintain better stock visibility, improve procurement decisions, and streamline medication fulfilment.

Smarter Alternative Medicine Mapping

When a requested medicine is unavailable, pharmacists can now map an alternative product with the same generic/composition directly from the Pharmacy Sales workflow.

Once the alternative medicine is billed, the original medication request is recognized as fulfilled.

This prevents requests from incorrectly remaining in Partially Billed status when an appropriate alternative has actually been dispensed.

Clearer Purchased & Free Stock Tracking

Hospitals can now maintain purchased and free quantities as separate stock records for purchase schemes such as Buy 10, Get 10 Free.

Purchased stock retains its actual purchase price, while free stock is maintained separately with a purchase price of ₹0.

This provides clearer visibility into:

  • Purchased quantity
  • Free quantity
  • Purchase price
  • MRP
  • Batch-level stock
Better Purchase Order Decisions

The PO Info screen now provides Current Stock and Average Monthly Consumption alongside the ordered quantity.

This gives verifiers and approvers better context when reviewing purchase requests and helps them assess whether the requested quantity aligns with current stock levels and consumption patterns.

Enhanced Stock Audit Visibility

A dedicated Sale Rate column is now available in Stock Audit, alongside Purchase Price and MRP.

This is particularly useful for hospitals that sell medicines below MRP, providing a clearer picture of actual inventory pricing.

Consolidated Location-Wise Stock Visibility

The new Current Stock – Location Wise Report provides a consolidated view of stock maintained across multiple stores and departments within a location.

Hospitals can now answer a broader inventory question:

“What stock do we currently have across this entire location?”

Enhanced Pharmaceutical Purchase Cost Calculation

GRN now supports separate Scheme Discount and Supplier Discount fields, allowing hospitals to capture manufacturer/company schemes and supplier discounts independently.

The system applies both discounts to calculate the net purchase value.

Additional Pharmacy & Inventory Improvements

Q3 also introduces:

  • Patient Room Number visibility in Manage Ward Request
  • Improved medication request receipt validation
  • Sale Rate visibility during Stock Audit
  • More detailed stock and pricing information
  • Better purchase and inventory traceability
Key Benefits

  • Better inventory visibility
  • More accurate purchase cost calculation
  • Improved procurement decisions
  • Better medication fulfilment
  • Stronger stock traceability
  • Greater control over pharmacy workflows

🩺 Clinical Documentation & Patient Care

Clinical workflows continue to evolve with enhancements designed to make documentation more focused, accessible, and efficient for doctors and clinical teams.

A More Flexible OP Case Sheet

The new OP Casesheet Optionality Control Panel Master allows hospitals and doctors to customize the OP Case Sheet according to their clinical workflow.

Users can:

  • Exclude non-required sections
  • Make important fields mandatory
  • Keep the Casesheet compact
  • Configure the Casesheet based on doctors and specialties
This creates a more focused clinical documentation experience while ensuring essential information is captured consistently.

Faster OP Consultation Completion

Doctors can now complete the patient journey directly from the OP Case Sheet using the new Checkout option.

Previously, doctors had to return to the Check-in List after completing the consultation.

Now, checkout can be completed directly from the consultation screen, reducing navigation and helping doctors move efficiently to the next patient.

Improved IP Admission Documentation

The IP Admission Slip now automatically displays the patient's Final Diagnosis, pulled from the Discharge Summary or IP Case Sheet when available.

This eliminates the need for staff to manually write the final diagnosis on the printed admission slip.

Multiple Consent Forms

Hospitals can now create and manage multiple consent forms for the same OP visit or IP admission through a dedicated Consent Management screen.

All generated consent forms remain accessible from the List tab for future reference, updating, and printing.

Improved Clinical Safety Documentation

The Anesthesia Safety Checklist and Surgical Safety Checklist have been redesigned into structured, workflow-oriented assessments covering the different stages of the surgical journey.

The redesigned checklists help clinical teams maintain consistent safety checks, documentation, and perioperative workflows.

Key Benefits

  • More focused clinical documentation
  • Faster doctor workflows
  • Reduced manual documentation
  • Better patient safety tracking
  • Improved consent management
  • Stronger documentation and audit readiness

🏥 Inpatient & Room Management

Q3 also introduces several enhancements to improve inpatient visibility and room management.

Occupancy Information at a Glance

The new Occupancy Info option in Manage Rooms provides a consolidated overview of:

  • Occupied Rooms
  • Vacant Rooms
  • Maintenance Rooms
  • Total Rooms
The summary can also be exported to Excel for further analysis.

Better Room Transfer Management

Users can now modify complete room transfer events through the dedicated Change Room Date modal.

The modal provides visibility into:

  • Occupied At
  • Transferred Out At
  • Room occupancy duration
This helps maintain accurate room records and associated billing timelines.

More Patient Context in Billing

The Room Number is now displayed on the IP Advance Receipt, providing an additional reference for quickly identifying the patient's current location.

Key Benefits

  • Better room occupancy visibility
  • Easier room management
  • Improved patient identification
  • More accurate room records
  • Better operational coordination

🧪 Laboratory Enhancements

Q3 brings improvements focused on report transparency, controlled access, and smoother laboratory workflows.

Clearer Laboratory Report Status

Laboratory reports now include a Report Status indicating whether the complete investigation order has been completed.

Reports can now show:

  • Partially Completed – when some investigations are still pending
  • Completed – when all investigations in the order have been approved
This gives patients, doctors, and laboratory teams a clearer understanding of whether additional results are pending.

Controlled Lab Report Access

Hospitals using payment-based restrictions for laboratory reports can now provide selected users with a specific privilege to access reports even when an outstanding payment exists.

Authorized users can be permitted to:

  • Print reports
  • Download reports
  • Email reports
  • Share through WhatsApp
  • Share through SMS
Other users continue to follow the configured payment restriction.

Better Visibility for Ward-Based Sample Collection

IP lab orders now carry a dedicated indication in the order list, helping phlebotomists quickly identify investigations that require sample collection from the patient's ward or room.

Key Benefits

  • Better report transparency
  • Faster identification of inpatient orders
  • Controlled report access
  • Improved laboratory workflow
  • Better coordination between laboratory and inpatient teams

  • OP
  • IP
  • Pharmacy
  • Optical
  • Optical Advance
  • Total
Users can drill down from the summary into detailed collection transactions.

Consultant-Wise Income Visibility

The new Income by Consultant report under Consolidated Income Report provides a combined view of consultant-wise collections across OP, IP, and Pharmacy.

This eliminates the need to refer to separate reports when analysing consultant-associated income.

HSN Summary for GST Reporting

The new HSN Summary – Sales and Sales Return report follows the GSTR-01 format and provides a consolidated view of HSN-wise sales, sales returns, and relevant tax and transaction values.

Key Benefits

The IP Admission Slip can now capture Printed By and Printed At details when enabled through Print Configuration.

This creates a clear record of who printed the document and when.

More Flexible Invoice Management

Authorized users can now modify the Invoice Date even after an invoice has been generated.

This provides greater flexibility for insurer, corporate, and B2B billing workflows where invoice dates may need to align with accounting periods, contractual requirements, or customer requests.

Product-Level Location Control

The new Allowed Locations configuration in Product Master allows administrators to define where a product should be available.

Products can be restricted to selected locations and hidden from other facilities, helping organizations maintain better control over product usage across multiple locations.

Key Benefits

  • Stronger access control
  • Better traceability
  • Greater configuration flexibility
  • Improved master data governance
  • Better operational accountability
